COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

Some local kids made President's Day something more than just a day off from school.

These kids spent the day at the National Infantry Museum and Soldier Center to take part in their Presidents Day birthday bash mini-camp.

It took place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday. Kids ages six to 11 got the opportunity to learn fun facts about our nation's presidents and enjoy hands-on activities.

"I think they're having fun because we're playing games and crafts so far, so overall I think they're having a good time," said camp director Alexis Bellman.

Some of the hands-on activities included playing pin the beard on Abraham Lincoln and presidential bean bag toss.
