HOLDEN, LA (WAFB) -
Two men have been arrested for home improvement fraud in Livingston Parish.
According to reports, Mark Edwards, 48, and Glen Sullivan Jr., 26, would receive money up front from elderly customers, then never return to do the work.
Detectives say they've been working on these cases since the summer of 2012.
Additionally, the Department of Environmental Quality has charged Sullivan with dumping septic tank waste on the ground near a home on North James Chapel Road in Albany.
Deputies say after he was arrested last week, Sullivan admitted to pumping out septic tanks at several homes, then dumping the contents in remote locations.
Edwards has been charged with three counts of home improvement fraud and three counts of engaging in the business of contracting without authority. He has since bonded out of jail.
