OPELIKA, AL (WTVM) -

A mystery still surrounds an Opelika murder that took place last November and now police are asking for the public's help in solving the case.

On November 3rd of last year police responded to the 100 block of South 3rd Street around 1:40 AM and found 21-year-old, Jarron Holloway, dead from multiple gunshot wounds.

Currently there are no suspects in the case

"Anyone who has information, even if they think it's insignificant, should please call and tell us what that information may be. Our investigators may take that information, it may mean something to them, and hopefully they can get further leads in this case," explains Captain Bruce DeLong of the Opelika Police Department.

It was reported that neighbors heard gunshots early that morning, but no one was able to see who pulled the trigger and left Holloway for dead.

"Stuff like this never really happens in this neighborhood, so hopefully they'll find who did it," says Leighanna Wimberly, neighbor to the scene of the shooting.

"Somebody out there knows something, heard something, overheard someone saying something about this incident and we would like them to come forward. They can remain anonymous and contact and the police department and we can take that information and investigate is from there," explains DeLong.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Opelika Police Department Investigative Services Division at (334) 705-5220 or the Secret Witness Hotline at (334) 745-8665.
