SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Five women have been arrested in connection with a fight that happened at a Queensborough restaurant and nightclub early Thursday morning.

Police say were called when one of the women showed up in the emergency room at Willis Knighton Hospital with what appeared to be stab wounds just before 2 a.m. 35-year-old Monica Samuels had been cut several times.

Officers learned that Samuels had been involved in a fight with several other women at Uncle Buck's Smokehouse Club in the 2900 block of Jewella Avenue.

Police say the women got into a brawl and began stabbing each other with razor blades.Three of the five brawlers needed stitches for their injuries.

Arrested were 44 year old Timmie Stevenson, of the 7200 block of Bernstein Avenue in Shreveport, 29 year old Atari Caldwell, of the 3800 block of Conway Street in Shreveport, and 26 year old Shontae Washington, of the 2500 block of Regent Street in Shreveport. All of the women were booked into the Shreveport City Jail on charges of disturbing the peace by fighting. The initial complainant, Monica Samuels, of the 2900 block of Catherine Street in Shreveport, was also arrested and booked into the city jail as well on one count of disturbing the peace by fighting. 36 year old Kashunda Alford, of the 3100 block of West Maple Street in Shreveport, was issued a misdemeanor summons for criminal property damage and released

Police say witnesses to the fight all gave conflicting statements and are still working to find out what started the fight.
