    However, an Auburn University research team has created a test using a biosensor that will help doctors go from hours to minutes in identifying super bacteria like MRSA, a type of staph bacteria that can cause deadly skin infections.

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Sales tax collections in East Baton Rouge Parish rose 6 percent in 2012.

The city-parish collected nearly $173 million via the 2 percent sales tax, up from $163 million in 2011.

Tax revenue in December 2012 fell 1.4 percent compared to December 2011.
