(WTVM) -
This is always a busy time of
year for our storm team.
The spring severe weather season
is typically thought of as the months of March, April, and May. We've already
dealt with several periods of active weather this year, including tornadoes in Georgia
and Mississippi, along with one of the wettest Februarys since records have
been kept in Columbus.
Storm Team 9 brought back our Weather
Radio Wednesday promotion where they go out to locations all across the valley
to make sure folks that get weather radios have them programmed properly and
answer any questions they may have about severe weather.
They also are in locals schools
across the valley just about every day during the week speaking on topics like
severe weather and severe weather safety.
On March 4, in the place of our
5:30 p.m. ET newscast, we'll have a Storm Team 9 special presentation where our
meteorologists will share some tips that may just save your life when severe
weather strikes.
We have the valley's most
committed team of meteorologists that are working to keep you and your family
safe on-air, on-line, on your mobile device, and in our community.
General Manager Lee Brantley brings
two editorials a week to WTVM. If you would like to respond to an
