The Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office says a man died around nine o'clock Sunday morning after getting caught in a conveyer belt. The accident happened at Impala's Burnside Terminal.

The victim is identified as 52-year-old Nolan Cormier. Investigators say EMTs responded to the scene quickly, but Cormier was pronounced dead at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Gonzales.
