PHOENIX (CBS5) -

A Valley woman woke up to a scary situation just after midnight Sunday.

She called police after she found what she thought was a bomb outside her window.

Phoenix police weren't taking any chances. They evacuated surrounding apartments in the 4300 block of North 36th Avenue.

The bomb squad was called in to examine the device.

Bomb techs determined the device to be harmless and the scene was cleared.
