PRESCOTT, AZ (AP) -

A Yavapai County sheriff's sergeant has been placed on paid administrative leave in connection with a biker brawl at a Prescott bar.

Sheriff's spokesman Dwight D'Evelyn said Monday that Bill Suttle will be on leave indefinitely.

Suttle is a 20-year veteran of the sheriff's office who commands a drug trafficking task force.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety is investigating the December fight that involved members of a law enforcement motorcycle club.

Suttle had been the club's vice president. He told authorities that one of the bikers punched Justin Stafford after Stafford grabbed another biker's vest and started talking trash.

Stafford left the bar with a bloodied and bruised nose.

D'Evelyn says Coconino County is conducting an administrative review of Suttle's involvement.
