COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -
The Columbus man charged with manufacturing marijuana will remain behind bars.
Reginald Pitts faced a judge Monday morning at 8:30 and pleaded not guilty. He waived the right to his hearing, and all of his charges will be bound over to Superior Court.
Pitts was arrested Saturday after the Muscogee County Marshall's Office discovered drugs inside his home during an eviction notice.
As Deputy Baker with the MCMO removed the family's belongings from inside the home, he reported discovering a paper bag containing approximately 70 grams of suspected marijuana.
The drugs are valued at $700.
Pitts also faces charges of cruelty to children for having children inside the home at the time of the bust.
