A bill being considered by the Alabama Legislature could have a significant impact on the economy by the landing of more aviation companies in the state.
The Alabama Commercial Aviation Business Improvement Act attempts to attract manufacturers by limiting potential lawsuits that could impact these companies in the future.
Governor Bentley says it will level the playing field between Alabama and surrounding states in attracting these companies.
Companies like Airbus, that has already made the decision to locate in mobile, can bring thousands of new jobs to the state.
The bill unanimously passed both the House and Senate Judiciary committees Tuesday.
