PHOENIX (CBS5) -

The first-degree murder trial for a 32-year-old woman accused of brutally killing her ex-lover continued on Wednesday morning where the jury heard more audio from Jodi Arias' sex tape and watched more of her interview with 48 Hours.

Arias returned for a 12th day of testimony at 10:15 a.m. in Maricopa County Superior Court. Proceedings were adjourned early Tuesday because Arias complained of a migraine headache.

Arias is accused of killing Travis Alexander in a jealous rage at his Mesa home in June 2008. She claims to have killed him in self-defense, though she said she does not recall slitting his throat or stabbing him 27 times, but did say she accidentally shot him with a handgun she found in his closet.

Prosecutor Juan Martinez has been relentless in his questioning of Arias, attacking her memory and trying to establish that their sexual relationship was consensual and not forced on her, as Arias has claimed.

On Wednesday, Martinez played the phone sex tape again pointing out that Arias recorded the tape and had control of what happened to it.

Arias could be sentenced to death penalty if found guilty of first-degree murder.

Martinez aggressively attacked Arias' credibility on Tuesday questioning her why she lied to authorities about any knowledge of Alexander's death before eventually claiming self-defense.

Martinez played parts of Arias' 48 Hours interview again on Wednesday. In the interview, Arias claimed Alexander was killed by home intruders who also attacked her.

"When you have a gun pointed at your forehead, you'll do anything," Arias said during the interview.

Martinez also attacked Arias over her descriptions of Alexander as violent womanizer who enjoyed deviant sex, but also as a kind and beautiful person.
