Exclusive Preview of News at 5 & 6

Good evening! This is WTVM's Jason Dennis. Here's what we are working on for the news at 5 and 6:

At least 12 people are homeless tonight after fire ripped through an apartment building in Columbus. Some frantically ran to safety as the heavy smoke and flames quick spread through the roof. We have a LIVE update on the injuries.

For the second time in three days, Auburn police are investigating a shooting with injuries. We have the latest on why a middle school was put on lockdown - and what the teen suspect did, off campus.

A new severe thunderstorm watch was just put out for most of our area, lasting the next 5 hours. Chief Meteorologist Derek Kinkade will explain how it may impact you, plus we'll show you how it's much worse in the Northeast, as the nation's capital could be in for its worst snow of the season.

And the Dow surged to a record high. We have the national numbers and your local stocks.

Tell your friends, then join us for these stories and more tonight at 5 and 6!

See ya then,

Jason Dennis
