The Muscogee County Sheriff's Office is on the lookout for another sex offender wanted for failing to register.

Sheriff Deputies are looking for 52-year-old Christopher Fitzpatrick. Deputy Jeffrey Hackey with the Muscogee County Sheriff's Office says he's hopeful that he is still in the local area.

"We hope that he is still in the area. I don't see any reason he would have left," says Hackey.

According to Hackey, Fitzpatrick's last known address is on Talbotton Road in Columbus. He is 5' 7" tall and weighs 200 pounds. Deputy Hackey explains how the judge reacts to repeat offenders.

"Each time you don't register you are going to go in front of that same judge each time each time that judge sees you come into his courtroom for the same thing he's going to come down on you harder each time,"says Hackey.

Hackey tells News Leader 9 sex offenders that constantly fail to register usually get more jail time.

"You get picked up it'll be a little longer you sit in county before you get a chance to go back before that judge," Hackey says.

Fitzpatrick is not considered dangerous, but police need your help bringing him in. So help them make an arrest and close this case.

If you know where Fitzpatrick can be located, you are asked to call the Muscogee County Sheriff's Office at (706) 653-4225.
