ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The Darton State Cavaliers baseball team has been on fire lately.

The Cavs have won 12 straight games and jumped to 16th in the NJCAA polls, mainly thanks to their offense.

Over the 12 wins, Darton is averaging 10 runs a game.

Head Coach Scot Hemmings says it hasn't just been one thing at the plate for the Cavs.

"It's kind of a build an inning mentality. its a walk. its a bunt. its a hit and run, and then, boom, a double in the gap," he says. Our three, four, and five hitters in Wofford, Ferrell, and Conkle are very powerful too, so it's a combination of some speed, some power, and a lot of discipline at the plate."

"One through nine, everybody can hit the ball," says P/OF Kyle Conkle. "It doesn't matter what kind of pitch is thrown. Everybody can handle any pitcher in this league, and it's just a matter of us going out there and doing it."

The Cavs look to keep the streak alive during a three-game home series against East Georgia College.

That series starts Friday at 6:30.
