PHOENIX (CBS5) -

And then there were 21.

The winner of the $1 million Powerball second prize from Saturday's drawing has come forward.

This is the 21st $1 million Powerball second prize winning ticket sold in Arizona since $2 Powerball launched in January 2012, Arizona Lottery officials said.

Craig Krause, an Arizona snowbird from Colorado, purchased five Quick Pick tickets on Friday, from the Fry's Food Store located at 542 E. Hunt Hwy. in Queen Creek. Krause, who works in the construction field, has been traveling to Arizona for the last three years.

"I don't have any plans for the money because I wasn't expecting to be a winner," Krause said. "I'll probably pay off some bills and share with my family."

Krause checked his ticket Monday morning and discovered the five matching numbers on the top line of his ticket. Krause said he yelled to his friend in the next room to come look at his ticket, but his friend did not believe him until he also saw the five matching numbers.

Krause and his friend picked up an Arizona Lottery brochure and discovered that five matching numbers were worth $1 million.

In recent weeks, other in-state winners stepped forward to each claim $1 million in winnings from past drawings.

A Maricopa woman who wants to remain anonymous purchased her winning ticket for the Powerball draw on Jan. 26 at the Fry's Food Store at 20797 N. John Wayne Pkwy. in Maricopa. She is a nurse practitioner whose husband recently passed away. As she was going through his papers, she discovered an old Powerball play slip and decided to play his numbers.

The other winner is General Marsh, a retired man who spends his winters in Arizona.

He purchased two tickets for the March 16 Powerball draw at the Circle K located at 1605 E. Bell Rd. in Phoenix. Marsh randomly chose six numbers for each of the tickets he purchased and put the tickets away until Sunday when he had time to read the paper and discovered all his numbers matched.

Diane and Kerry Carmichael, a retired couple living in Tempe, also won the second-place Powerball payout of $1 million this month.

It was their second large winning ticket. In 1995, the couple won the Arizona Lottery's Pick jackpot of $2.5 million.

In December, a Fountain Hills man claimed half the record-breaking $587.5 million Powerball jackpot after buying a ticket at the 4 Sons Food Store.

Matthew Good took a one-time payout of $192 million from the Nov. 28 drawing.
