Hail Pelts Region Leaving Hundreds Without Power - Details @11

Good Evening, I'm Barbara Gauthier in the WTVM Newsroom. Here's your exclusive look at some of the stories we're working on for News Leader 9 at 11.

It may have felt like the sky was falling earlier this evening as much of the area saw quarter-sized hail and strong winds.  Storms moving across the south left trees toppled, and hundreds of people without power in the Valley and thousands in the dark across Georgia and Alabama.  Chief Meteorologist Derek Kinkade will have the latest on what we can expect for the rest of tonight and tomorrow.

The Muscogee County School Board votes to rezone the area around the new Aaron Cohn Middle School in Midland - a move that will affect hundreds of students in the district.  We'll tell you who's affected and how.

Plus, the battle over how much the school district pays in legal fees rages on.  The GBI has stepped in at the request of the board after several members said they were threatened over the fees.  We'll tell you what was said at tonight's meeting.

Join us for those stories and much more tonight on News Leader 9 at 11.
