WEST PALM BEACH, FL (WFLX) - Rain chances will remain low once again
today here in South Florida, but we could see a few coastal showers this
morning, and then isolated showers and a few thunderstorms near the coast this
afternoon, with scattered showers and thunderstorms possible inland. Any
thunderstorm that develops today could be strong. High temperatures in the low
to mid 90s, with the heat index in the low 100s. Skies will be partly sunny,
and winds will be light out of the southeast.
Tonight, partly to mostly clear skies and
low temperatures in the 70s. Winds will be light out of the south/southeast.
A few coastal showers are possible.
Friday, partly sunny with a few showers and
thunderstorms possible in the afternoon. Rain chances will be higher
inland than along the coast. Any thunderstorm that develops could be
strong. Highs in the low to mid 90s with the heat index in the low
100s. Light winds out of the southeast.
Saturday, mostly to partly sunny with highs
in the low to mid 90s. Very slim chances for isolated rainfall.
Sunday, partly sunny with a few showers and
thunderstorms possible. Highs in the low to mid 90s.
Monday through Wednesday is a little tricky
right now because a lot depends on a disturbance that is heading into the
eastern Caribbean right now. Computer models have that disturbance (which
could become a named storm over the weekend) near the Bahamas by the beginning
of next week. For now, we are going with mostly cloudy skies with
scattered showers and thunderstorms possible. Highs in the low 90s.
