KINGMAN, AZ (CBS5) -

An Arizona motorist accused of drunken driving had three children in his vehicle at the time of his arrest, Mohave County sheriff's deputies said.

MCSO deputies said they saw Odin Thunstrom, 42, drive past a road closure sign Sunday night in his pickup truck.  Thunstrom disobeyed commands to stop, deputies said.

A short time later, Thunstrom stopped at an intersection. Deputies said they smelled alcohol on his breath and saw three children, ages 7, 8 and 11, inside the vehicle.

Deputies administered a sobriety field test. Thunstrom told deputies that he had consumed some alcohol the night before, MCSO said.

A blood alcohol test given to Thunstrom revealed his blood alcohol concentration was a .221 percent, almost three times the legal limit, deputies said.

Thunstrom was arrested on four aggravated DUIs and for driving on a suspended license.

Thunstrom was booking into the Mohave County Jail and his vehicle was towed. All three children were released to a relative.
