PHOENIX (CBS5) -

It's the time of year when many of you fill out a March Madness bracket and then are glued to the TV to see how your picks do.

You don't need to be a college basketball guru compete and to prove it, CBS 5 News has set up a friendly competition between the Phoenix Suns head basketball coach and a Valley preschooler.

Coach Lindsey Hunter is a two-time NBA champion who knows a thing or two about basketball.

CBS 5 News decided to put coach Hunter's basketball knowledge to the test by asking him to pick winners of this year's NCAA college basketball tournament and see how they stack up to someone that has a slightly different skill set.

Three-year-old Brayden Subrin took a break from his busy day of story time and art class to break down a March Madness bracket of his own.

Naturally, Hunter made his picks based on experience.

"If I know the coaches or a couple players - things like that give me a little insight," Hunter said.

Brayden had a slightly different approach, making his picks based on his favorite colors: red and green.

As of Sunday night, Brayden was up by one, but he picked to Georgetown to win it all and they lost their first game to Florida Gulf Coast. Coach Hunter took Miami all the way to the championship.

Check back for updates on their picks as the tournament continues.
