WTVM 3/22/13 Editorial: Retirement

Posted: Updated:
COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

You may have heard by now that I announced on Thursday that I will be retiring at the end of July.

I will have been at WTVM for 18 years and I have really enjoyed my job and this community. WTVM is a great television station and a great place to work.

I want to thank all my co-workers for all they have done for me and this WTVM, they are a great staff. Because of them, WTVM continues to be the dominant medium in West Georgia, East Alabama. I want to thank all of you for your support and for all each of you do for our communities.

My wife and I came to Columbus and WTVM expecting to move on in a few years and here we are 18 years later. We have grown to really enjoy living in this area and we have no immediate plans to move.

Columbus is a very generous community and I hope to continue to be a positive contributor in its future progress.

Also, we have two daughters, six granddaughters and one great granddaughter to continue to spoil on a full-time basis going forward.

Please let me know what I can do for you!
