SMITH COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

An 18-wheeler is left destroyed after it caught fire Saturday afternoon at the Ace Tire & Axle located north of interstate 20 near Lindale. This is located off of Willow Branch road.

Upon arrival, Lindale and Van fire crews found the truck fully involved in flames. They quickly put out the flames, but were unable to save the 18-wheeler. Crews did prevent the flames from spreading to nearby building and vehicles.

Smith County Fire Marshal Jim Seaton said the cause of the fire is still under investigation, but he does believe it started in the front of the truck.

Seaton said no one was on the property at the time of the fire.
