PHOENIX (CBS5) -

A mobile home owner couldn't save his home after a fire broke out early Monday morning.

Phoenix fire Capt. Jonathan Hill said the homeowner was trying to put out the flames when firefighters arrived, but the mobile home near 51st and Southern avenues was engulfed by flames and was a total loss.

Hill said firefighters had difficulties reaching the fire and had to cross two locked fences, and actually drove over a fence with two locks to get to the property.

No cause had been determined and no one was injured, Hill said.

No other information was immediately available.
