Alabama State Troopers confirm that all lanes of U.S. Highway 80 between Montgomery and Selma have reopened following a serious crash.

Authorities say just after 6 p.m. a passenger vehicle and an 18-wheeler collided near mile marker 117.5. The driver of the passenger vehicle was entrapped in the vehicle.

The victim, identified only as a female, was removed from the wreckage and transported via medical helicopter to Montgomery's Baptist South Hospital. Her condition is listed as serious.

An investigation will be conducted to determine the cause of the crash.
