COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

An Opelika man staying at a hotel on Victory Drive was robbed at gun point with his own weapon.

It happened at the Colony Inn in Columbus shortly before 5:00 Friday evening.

The suspect also took the victim's money, cell phone, and his red Chevrolet Caprice.

The stolen items were worth more than $5000.

The man was not injured and the case is under investigation.
