An arrest has been made in the murder investigation of a woman who was shot and killed Friday on Debby Street.

Robert Junior Taylor, 37, was arrested without incident and transported to the Robbery Homicide Office on Tuesday April 2.

On Friday March 29, Lakeisha Shoulders was shot and killed at her residence on Debby Street in Columbus. Investigation determined that Taylor – Shoulders' boyfriend and the father of her daughter – had shot her and fled the scene with the baby. The baby was later found at his parents' residence.

Taylor was found on Tuesday after a citizen reported they thought they had seen him at the apartment where the shooting occurred. Officers responded to the area and he was located at Sidney Drive and Sims Street.

Taylor is charged with murder and possession of a firearm during a commission of a crime. He is scheduled to appear in Recorder's Court on April 5 at 9 a.m.
