Two Alabama politicians have released statements on the terrorist attack at the Boston Marathon on Monday April 15.
U.S. Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL)
"Our nation mourns for the dead and prays for the victims and their families. We must do everything in our power to support the city of Boston in her hour of need and to track down and punish every last person responsible for this attack upon our country."
U.S. Representative Mike Rogers (R-AL3)
"The tragic events at the Boston Marathon remind us we live in a world where others want to cause innocent people harm. As the details unfold, I will continue to closely monitor the situation. My heart and prayers go out to the victims, those injured and the families in Boston."
U.S. Representative Calvin Smyre (D-GA)
"I was both disturbed and saddened to learn on yesterday, April 16, 2013 that a cowardly and senseless act was committed in Boston, MA. Two bombs exploded on the crowded streets of Boston at the finish line of the Boston Marathon killing three persons and injuring more than 150. My thoughts and prayers are with the families of those individuals. We must seek justice for this horrible act of terror.
"Boston is a resilient city and with the support of the nation, it will rebound from this cowardly act. Our prayers are with the City of Boston."
