COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

News Leader 9 has learned nothing dangerous was in the suspicious package discovered at the Columbus Lowe's.

Homeland Security Director Brad Hicks confirmed to us they received a call at about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday that a suspicious briefcase was left inside a buggy. A bomb squad with homeland security responded to the scene.

News Leader 9's Brittany Dionne was on the scene when the bomb technicians opened the briefcase and says a blue binder, papers, and pencils were found inside.

Nothing else was found inside except for a person's ID.

The bomb tech says this is the second incident today after one at the government center.

We'll continue to bring you more information on this story as it becomes available. Stay tuned for updates.
