ROME, Ga. - Columbus State head coach J.D. Evilsizer was named Peach Belt Conference Women's Track and Field Coach of the Year, voted on by the league's coaches.

Earlier this year, Evilsizer was named the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) men's and women's Southeast Region Coach of the Year for cross country.

The Columbus State women's track and field team finished fourth in the inaugural PBC Championship last weekend. During the meet, they captured three individual conference championships.

Chatil Bradford won championships in the discus and shot put, while Kristina Delpesche captured the 1,500 meters title.

In addition to Evilsizer's honor, Columbus State's Gerald Chichester and Whittney Ryals were named to the PBC Track and Field All-Sportsmanship Team.

The PBC All-Sportsmanship team features the male and female athlete from each competing institution who best exemplifies the spirit of sportsmanship and generally conducts themselves with a high degree of integrity, character and class.
