PHOENIX (CBS5) -

A Phoenix firefighter suffered an electrical shock when power lines fell on a metal roof of a home engulfed by flames.

The firefighter is expected to be OK.

Witnesses said they saw smoke coming from the home at 8034 S. Central Ave. They banged on the door and got a grandmother and several children out safely, said Phoenix fire spokesman Larry Nunez.

Fire authorities are investigating the cause of the blaze.

The home was a total loss, Nunez said.
