PHOENIX (CBS5) -

A 38-year-old man has been arrested and linked to three sexual assault cases since March 13, Phoenix police said.

Nilson Quijano-Quezada was booked into jail on April 20 on charges of sexual assault, kidnapping and armed robbery.

Quijano-Quezada allegedly picked up an admitted prostitute on March 18 and sexually assault her, said Phoenix police Sgt. Steve Martos. The victim filed a police report but there was limited information to follow up with at the time.

On April 20, Quijano-Quezada allegedly approached an 18-year-old woman and attempted to force her into his vehicle, Martos said. The victim fought back but Quijano-Quezada choked her, rendering her unconscious, Martos said. Police investigators said he then robbed the victim of her purse and fled the scene.

Later the same evening, Quijano-Quezada allegedly approached another woman as she was walking home, told her he had a gun and forced her into his vehicle, Martos said. The suspect sexually assaulted victim and forced her to withdraw cash from her bank account, police said.

Quijano-Quezada was spotted by officers leaving the scene of the incident and arrested.

People with information about the crimes are asked to call the Phoenix Police Department at 602-262-6141. Those wishing to remain anonymous can call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
