LAUDERDALE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

The serial bank robber suspect dubbed the "Ball Cap Bandit" appeared in court Tuesday.

Cedrick Hicks had his arraignment at the Lauderdale County Courthouse at 9 a.m. He pleaded not guilty. His trial was set for June 10, and his pretrial will be May 28.

Hicks is in jail on a $350,000 bond. Prosecutors said he is a "flight risk."

Hicks was on the FBI's most wanted list as a suspect of robbing several banks in North Alabama and at least one in Tennessee.

A Lauderdale County grand jury already indicted Hicks for robbing a Rogersville bank in November.

Hicks was arrested during a traffic stop in Decatur in March.

At this time, it is unclear whether federal agents will pursue charges against him.
