Columbus mayor goes to movies with teens

Several Columbus teens got the day to hang out with Mayor Teresa Tomlinson and get a bit of a history lesson.

The teens were given the opportunity to see the new Jackie Robinson movie "42" at the Ritz 13 movie theatre.

Mayor Tomlinson says that this was a great opportunity for the students to learn the benefits that come from facing adversity and being in a leadership role.

"They choose young adults that are interested and that they believe would benefit from the opportunities about adversity and leadership," said Mayor Tomlinson.

The movie they went to see "42" is a sports drama film about the life of baseball player Jackie Robinson, who wore jersey number 42.
