PHOENIX (CBS5) -

It's one of the biggest concerts of the summer.

Prince is performing in the Valley Tuesday and Wednesday night. The shows are a part of the Live Out Loud Tour.

Promoters have been selling tickets to four shows for months, two Tuesday night and two Wednesday night, but both 11 p.m. performances were canceled Monday.

Folks were lining up in front of the Marquee Theater early Tuesday morning.

Sheree Jones started camping out at 1 a.m. She wanted to make sure she got the most out of her $277 ticket and secure a spot close to the stage.

"My sister says he's worth it. I've never seen him," Jones said.

It turns out that wasn't the only reason to get to the theater early.

The cancellation of two shows is causing confusion among ticket holders.

"I'm just finding out now that the shows are combined," Steven Snow said.

Letecia Santiago arrived at the venue early to get her tickets.

"Right now, I'm just trying to figure out what time is the show going to start because the email doesn't let me know what time," Santiago said.

According to signs posted at the box office, the adjustments are because of "changes in production."

However, no one with the Marquee Theater could tell us exactly what that meant. Officials told CBS 5 News that anyone with a ticket to the 11 p.m. show could get in to the 8 p.m. show. A full refund would be issued if the ticket holder could not make it.

A woman in the box office also told CBS 5 News that emails were sent to concertgoers notifying them about the change, but many people said they never got one.
