COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - More than 700 proud Columbus State graduates walked across the stage to receive their diplomas Monday night.
The civic center was filled with friends and family to celebrate one of CSU's largest graduating classes.
The family of Charles Foster, the victim of a deadly New Year's Day shooting at the Majestic Sports Bar, was presented his bachelor's degree in arts.
Foster's mother received a standing ovation as the degree was presented.
AFLAC chairman and CEO Dan Amos received an honorary doctorate. Dink Nesmith delivered the commencement speech.
