Gas prices on the rise, expected to continue

If you've been feeling somerelief at the gas pump lately - that may soon be coming to an end.

Gas prices are on the riseagain after an straight eight week decline and with a holiday weekendapproaching, they're expected to continue to rise.

According to AAA thecurrent national average is $3.58 a gallon.

We spoke to one Columbusdriver who is tired of spending more and more money at the pump.

"I think it'sridiculous because people are spending more money putting gas in their vehiclestrying to get to work than what they bring home in just about a week," saidBrandi Turnage. "The money is just going down the road you might as wellsay."

Georgia's average for agallon is $3.43 and Alabama's is at $3.28.

If you are looking for thecheapest place to fill up in Columbus - the RaceWay on Victory Drive is sellinga gallon of regular gas for $3.26.

Across the river in PhenixCity gas is cheapest at the Short Stop on Lee Road 482 at $3.21 a gallon.
