If you've been feeling some relief at the gas pump lately - that may soon be coming to an end.

Gas prices are on the rise again after an straight eight week decline and with a holiday weekend approaching, they're expected to continue to rise.

According to AAA the current national average is $3.58 a gallon.

We spoke to one Columbus driver who is tired of spending more and more money at the pump.

"I think it's ridiculous because people are spending more money putting gas in their vehicles trying to get to work than what they bring home in just about a week," said Brandi Turnage. "The money is just going down the road you might as well say."

Georgia's average for a gallon is $3.43 and Alabama's is at $3.28.

If you are looking for the cheapest place to fill up in Columbus - the RaceWay on Victory Drive is selling a gallon of regular gas for $3.26.

Across the river in Phenix City gas is cheapest at the Short Stop on Lee Road 482 at $3.21 a gallon.
