Yuma County sheriff's deputies have recovered the body of a 66-year-old California man who failed to return from fishing on Lake Mittry on Monday.
A sheriff's spokesman said Frank Wallace went fishing about 9 p.m. and a friend on Wednesday afternoon spotted his vehicle at the lake's main boat dock before calling authorities.
Deputies found Wallace's fishing boat partially submerged east of the dock. Some of his personal belongings were also there, the spokesman said.
The body was located at 10:55 a.m. by the Yuma County Sheriff's Office Underwater Recovery Team with the assistance of Customs and Border Protection.
