Your Look at What's Ahead on Newsleader 9 at 11

Good Evening I'm Barbara Gauthier in the WTVM Newsroom.  Here's your look at some of the stories we're working on for Newsleader 9 at 11.

Just days after the announcement that the Muscogee County School Board could close two schools, one of the buildings is already being looked at for alternative use and the public hearings on the closures haven't even been held.  Does the public really have any say about whether or not the schools will be closed?  Newsleader 9's Curtis McCloud investigates.

Plus, there is going to be plenty of noise and excitement in East Alabama this weekend as the Auburn-Opelika air show takes flight.  Newsleader 9's Annie Hubbell has a preview.

And from the "what were they thinking" file - Lots of folks are still upset after a Kansas movie theater hires a stunt gunman for the opening of the movie Iron Man 3.  It was supposed to add to the excitement but people at the theater weren't amused at all.  We'll tell you what happened.

Will it rain on mom for this Mother's Day?  Chief Meteorologist Derek Kinkade will have the details of the forecast.   Join us for those stories and much more tonight on Newsleader 9 at 11.
