    Residents in east Alabama are rounding up the Labor Day celebration at one of the Alabama's oldest courthouses. The courthouse located in Seale, Ala. is the third oldest in the state. This is the first fair since 2010 when the fair restarted, and it originated in 1980 to raise money to refurbish the old courthouse after it began to deteriorate.More >>

School's out and parents are looking for things for their kids to do.

We compiled a list of nine things to do in Columbus this summer for kids:

~The Columbus Public Library has the AFLAC reading program from May 17- July 19.

~The Columbus Museum will offer art-making summer camps through the month of June.

~The National Infantry Museum has Summer Camp Benning with different weekly camps starting June 10 through July 22.

~Oxbow Meadows has summer programs, classes and tours to pick from.

~The Columbus Black History Museum is open throughout the summer.

~For the artsy types, the Springer Opera House is once again offering its Theatre Academy Summer Camp from June 3 to July 26.

~The Liberty Theatre is holding a summer arts academy also starting June 3.

~Check out the Coca-Cola Space Science Center for cool things this summer.

~The Columbus Riverwalk is a great place to get out and walk, rollerblade or rent a bike.

Some of the events are free, and others have a fee.
