MESA, AZ (CBS5) -

Four people were hurt, three seriously, after a car driven by a woman drove into a Jo-Ann Fabrics and Crafts store in a Mesa strip mall Tuesday morning.

The 70-year-old driver was not injured, and she was the only one in the car, said a spokesman with the Mesa Fire Department.

The seriously injured victims ranged from 60 to 90 years in age, and the oldest victim might have suffered a cardiac-related problem, the spokesman said. One patient suffered only minor injuries.

Tony Landato said the car was a couple car lengths into the building near Recker Road and Main Street. He said the driver mistakenly thought the car in was park.

No other information was available.
