Chattahoochee White Water Express kick-off events this weekend

The long-awaited trips down the Chattahoochee rapids are finally opening to the public Saturday May 25. 

Close to 400 trips have already been booked for Saturday, with about 100 advanced bookings for both Sunday and Monday. There will also be extra rafts available for walk-ins. Adventure Trip tickets are selling for 32-50 dollars, while the High Adventure trip tickets are selling for 48-50 dollars. 

Events kick-off near the Eagle and Phenix on Saturday morning.  An opening ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. with events lasting until 8 p.m. including music, food and several vendors. 

The Dragon Boat Festival, with dragon boats racing down the Chattahoochee will take place from noon to 5 p.m. near the trade center.
