Survey: Diners underestimate calories in fast food meals

Just how many calories are in a Big Mac or a Double Whopper?

A new study finds that diners are eating way more calories in their fast food meals than they realize.

3,400 teens and adults were surveyed by researchers at Harvard Medical School. The study found teens underestimate the calories in fast food meals by 34%.

Most teen's fast food orders contain an average of 756 calories, but they had estimated only 259 calories.

Parents guestimated that their orders contained 175 calories, but was found to be closer to 836 calories.
