Auburn shooting suspect arrested

AUBURN, AL (WTVM) - The Auburn man believed to be responsible for shooting an Opelika man over the weekend has been arrested.

On Saturday May 25 the Auburn Police Division arrested 24-year-old Roctavius L. Todd of Auburn. He is charged with discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle and second degree assault.

On Friday May 24 at about 10:30 p.m., authorities received a call about shots fired in a parking lot located in the 1600 block of South College Street.

The victim, 27-year-old Jimmie Greene of Opelika, drove himself to East Alabama Medical Center where he was treated and released for a gunshot wound to the arm.  The case, including the reason for the shooting, remains under investigation by the Auburn Police Division.

Todd was transported to the Lee County Detention Center where his bond was set at $8,000.
