(WTVM) - The Transportation Security Administration found a record 65 firearms on passengers boarding planes last week, breaking the previous record of 50 firearms.
The TSA reported 54 of the guns found were loaded and another 19 had rounds chambered. The guns were uncovered from May 17 to May 23.
The weapons ranged from a snub-nosed revolver to a 9mm handgun to a musket.
Passengers may travel with guns under certain restrictions, such as putting the weapon in a checked bag and declaring it to the airline.
In addition to guns, TSA reported it had found an assortment of weapons including throwing knives, hand grenades, and stun guns.
