Good Evening, I'm Barbara Gauthier in the WTVM Newsroom.  We hope you'll tune into Newsleader 9 at 11 tonight.  Here's a look at some of the stories we're working on.

After the recent closing of two schools in Muscogee County, will teachers still be facing furlough days? A lot of talk about that and the budget tonight at a special called school board meeting. Our Curtis McCloud was there and will tell us what the school board decided.  He'll also update the search for a new schools superintendent.

Plus, there's new research about one of the most feared diseases among women - breast cancer.  Find out why scientists are saying that African American women are at higher risk than others.

And Newsleader 9's Annie Hubbell takes us on a tour of a new plant that's been three years in the making in East Alabama. Find out what the new technology will mean for the area's drinking water.
