AUBURN, AL (WTVM) - Many residents in one Auburn neighborhood are on edge after professional thieves target three homes stealing valuable jewelry, silver, electronics and firearms.
The community is on edge in and around the Grove Hill neighborhood where two homes were ransacked and burglarized sometime Sunday night or early Monday morning.
Take a look at Glen Williams's front door. He showed us where someone kicked in the glass, reached in and turned the lock.
He and other victims were not at home when the suspects stole valuable jewelry, electronics, silver and firearms.
A third home was also targeted. That homeowner showed us where a suspect kicked in the backdoor, but apparently ran away with their alarm went off.
Now, police need your help locating the two people, seen in this picture from a Montgomery gas station.
"On April 3 we had a similar incident in a proximity close to this area, in Auburn and that same day one of the victims credit cards was used in Montgomery to buy gas at an Intec station on Southern Boulevard," said Chief Paul Register with the Auburn Police Department.
As police search for suspects, extra patrols are saturating the neighborhood. Residents are encouraged to alert police if they noticed anything unusual.
Police say if you do go out of town, let them know, they will do ho use checks for you.
Meanwhile, burglaries are down by about 15 percent in Auburn, but Register says one is still too many.
If you have any info on the people in those pictures, please call the police.
