Columbus honors Scott's Ride for Miracles

Posted: Updated:

Scott Ressmeyer and his Miracle Riders were given a special gift Tuesday in honor of their 21 day ride across America to raise money for sick kids.

The group was presented with a mayoral proclamation on behalf of the Children's Miracle Network and the city of Columbus.

Scott was also the featured speaker at the Kiwanis Club of Columbus meeting where he shared photos of their recent trip and expressed why he feels this ride is so important.

The Miracle Riders presented Mayor Teresa Tomlinson with the cast of the small child's foot to symbolize why this yearly ride matters to so many people.

Scott and the Miracle Riders are a group of men who take a cross country motorcycle ride each year in order to raise money and awareness for the Children's Miracle Network in Columbus, Ga.

This year, the men raised over $210,000 towards the effort.
