GA church drops boy scout troop for policy on homosexuality

Posted: Updated:

MARIETTA, GA - Roswell Street Baptist Church is breaking all ties with Boy Scouts of America because of the organization's new policy to allow openly gay members.

The church has been the meeting place for the local Boy Scout troop for 68 years.

Pastor Ernest Easley offers an explanation for the action, saying that the Boy Scouts' move towards inclusion concerns him. "You've got boys in there in a tent that are sexually attractive to other boys, whose hormones are going off the wall, "he says. "Something is going to happen."

After hearing about the newly displaced troop, Unity North Atlanta Church has offered to be the troop's new meeting place.
