On hot days, watch out for these heat exhaustion symptoms

(WTVM) - It's going to be a hot day. As a heat wave rolls through, temperatures will be extreme. If you're going to be outside, here are some symptoms of heat exhaustion to look out for:

1. Heavy sweating

2. Weakness

3. Cool, pale, clammy skin

4. Weak pulse

5. Dizziness

6. Nausea and vomiting

To get your body temperature under control quickly:

*Move to a cooler environment, remove or loosen clothing, and apply cool, wet cloths.

*Drink sips of water. If nausea occurs, discontinue water. If vomiting continues, seek immediate medical attention
