CSU chairman weighs in on NSA surveillance leak

Posted: Updated:
COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

Was it right or wrong for Edward Snowden to leak information about secret government surveillance programs?

A new national poll indicates Americans are divided.

A Gallup poll conducted this week shows 44 percent believe it was right for Snowden to share the information, 42 percent said it was wrong and 14 percent were unsure.

CSU political science chairman Tom Dolan says Americans already give up lots of personal info without realizing it.

Documents Snowden provided to journalists revealed the existence of secret national security agency programs to collect records of telephone calls in the US and the internet activity of overseas residents.
